Space – the Next Frontier for Entrepreneurship
Space Faculty, in partnership with Singapore Space and Technology Limited, and supported by Enterprise SG and Office for Space Technology and Industry (OSTIn) have joined with top minds in to bring aspiring entrepreneurs an intensive 6-day by-invitation-only bootcamp.
The bootcamp provides:
The 6-day programme comprises a 4-day immersion into the global space industry, giving participants all the fundamentals to build their next space startup, including market insights, business plan development, and an opportunity to pitch to an esteemed panel.
At the end of the bootcamp, participants will have a business plan and pitch deck.
The bootcamp includes a 2-day all-access pass to the Global Space and Technology Convention (GSTC) – the world’s leading space industry platform.
Esteemed organisations supporting this bootcamp include Google, INSEAD, and the Prime Minister’s Office, Singapore.
Alex da Silva Curiel | Head of International Business at Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd
Alex is a globally recognised as an expert in small satellite mission capabilities, markets and their applications, having been involved in the small satellite revolution since 1989. He has worked on over 70 small satellite missions and is Co-Chair for the International Astronautical Congress Satellite Symposium.
Henrik Bresman | Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour, INSEAD
Henrik is an expert on distributed leadership and high-performance teams. He is the co-author of the top-selling book X-Teams: How to Build Teams that Lead, Innovate, and Succeed (published by Harvard Business School Press), which examines how teams at all levels can take on strategic leadership roles and change the direction of their firms. It also documents how top management can unlock the talent of the organisation to create an infrastructure for innovation across their company.
Balagopal Vissa | Professor of Entrepreneurship, INSEAD
Balagopal’s expertise focuses on the people side of entrepreneurship— covering complex issues including structuring effective venture teams, building entrepreneurial networks, and enhancing corporate governance—particularly in emerging economies. He frequently advises entrepreneurial companies and professional investors on these topics. His research on leadership and teams in contexts of technological innovation, international post-acquisition integration, and strategic change draws on data from industries such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, software development, and investment banking.
Jian Wei Heng | Director of the Policy and Planning Division at the National Climate Change Secretariat, Prime Minister’s Office of Singapore
Jian Wei leads the policy and planning team to direct efforts across the Singapore Government to develop and implement the city’s response to climate change, and advance its interests on the international stage. He has previously held appointments across various Singapore ministries such as the Ministry of Manpower, Communications Group under the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of National Development. These roles provide him an in-depth view across a wide range of domains, including industry development strategies, and manpower programmes and policies

This is a by-invitation-only bootcamp. Those interested are required to provide a nominator (organisation and individual name), their start-up area of interest and what they hope to achieve at the bootcamp, in addition to their personal particulars.
