Starter Category

Ages 16 - 19

Design an autonomous mobile robot capable of navigating through a small pre-defined course in a controlled local environment.

Advanced Category

Ages 17 - 25

Design an autonomous mobile robot capable of obstacle avoidance and urban terrain traversal to navigate between points at different local environment (e.g., HDB estate blocks).

What are GNSS & SiReNT?

GNSS

The Global Satellite Navigation System (GNSS) is used ubiquitously as the de-facto positioning enabler in many outdoors applications that require location-based geospatial data. From location-based gaming to food and delivery applications, GNSS is used each time the mobile application is launched without the user needing to do anything about it.

SiReNT

SiReNT is an initiative by the Singapore Land Authority to support your real-time high precision Positioning, Navigation and Tracking (PNT) as well as Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) needs. SiReNT is also developed with differential technologies which improves accuracy and reliability for global navigation.
